In the New Testament, Pneuma is the Greek word for the breath of God. It means Spirit and wind.   

“And God breathed on me and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. God breathes out all Scripture.  He gives me life and breath and everything.” (John 20; 2 Tim 3; Acts 17)
